Annette Batemon
Founder & CEO
Annette Batemon has her Bachelors of Music Education, focusing in voice and clarinet. She was the art and choir teacher at Sallisaw Middle School for 10 years, where she was voted teacher of the year. She has been teaching private lessons for more than 20 years and has been a band director for 3 years.
Specialist: Voice, piano, band instruments, violin, cello, and art.

Richard D. York
Fine Arts Specialist
Richard D. York is a citizen of Cherokee Nation. . He received his BFA in painting and photography from
Boise State University.
Richard earned his MFA in Visual Studies
from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2014.
He received PNCA’s MFA in Visual Studies
Merit Scholarship for 2012-2014.
He was also awarded the 2013 Caldera MFA
in Visual Studies Residency in Sisters, Oregon.
Richard’s art has been exhibited in
the Art of the West 2019, 2020 and 2021 exhibitions
at the High Desert Museum in Bend Oregon.
He is a 2021 recipient of the LIFT Award grant
through the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation
as one of the first cohort of 20 artists.
In 2022 Richard was one of 5 native artists selected by Google to each design 4 Google Chrome Themes & Chromebook Wallpapers for
Native American Heritage Month.

Hannah Hudgens
Piano & Early Childhood Specialist
Hannah Hudgens is a Piano instructor and an Animal Adventures Specialist. She has been playing piano for over 14 years and is well versed in teaching beginning students. She has a Bachelors of Science degree and is currently working on her post graduate degree in Speech & Language Pathology. This has given her the skills to work well with children of all ages and needs. In high school she was a member of the Sallisaw High School Band and is a talented musician.

Dale Bates
Guitar Specialist
Dale got his first guitar at 3 years old, and it changed his life forever. As a teen he studied his favorite artists (Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed). As a teenager he played for many local bands.His professional career spans for well over 50 years. He has shared the stage with such greats as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Diamond Rio, Eddie Rabbit, Crystal Gale, Charlie Pride, and Buck Owens. He spent 2 years as lead guitarist for award winning Joe Nichols. He spent almost 20 years working the showrooms in the Nevada circuit. Needless to say music has been his life. He teaches all aspect of guitar playing including bass guitar.

Chad McMath
Trumpet, Guitar, & Voice
Chad teaches trumpet, guitar and voice. He has played both instruments for over 25 years. He excelled in both band and choir in school and has lead worship at many churches over the years. Chad is the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church and the founder of Sallisaw Area Youth Choir.
